On September 19, 2023, Étienne Dupuis will make his role debut as Don Carlo di Vargas in La forza del destino at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, in a Christof Loy production under the musical direction of Sir Mark Elder, the first of a series of five performances running through October 9, 2023. He will sing alongside Sondra Radvanovsky as Leonora, Brian Judge as Don Alvaro, Evgeny Stavinsky as Padre Guardiano, Vasilisa Berzhanskaya as Preziosilla, and Rodion Pogossov as Fra Melitone.

Immediately after this Forza del destino, the Quebecois baritone is adding another iconic Verdi role to his repertoire, Rigoletto in a new production at the Teatro Real Madrid.

Étienne Dupuis made his Royal Opera House debut as Marcello in La bohème in 2018.
