On October 11, 2023, Erika Grimaldi will be the soloist soprano in Giuseppe Verdi’s Messa da Requiem at the Smetana Hall in Prague, with Marcello Rota conducting the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. She will be singing alongside mezzo-soprano Elena Belfiore, tenor Piero Pretti, and bass Alessio Cacciamani.

The Italian soprano has performed Verdi’s sacred masterpiece numerous times in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Centre and then on tour at the Lincoln Center New York, at the Philharmonie de Paris, Cultural Centre Hong Kong, Chorégies d’Orange, Palau de la Música Barcelona, Gubelkian Foundation Lisbon and Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano.

Other 2023/24 engagements for the Asti-born soprano include her role debut as Puccini’s Manon Lescaut at the Teatro Comunale Bologna, Mimì in La bohème at the Teatro Regio Torino, Desdemona in Otello with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC.
