On January 1, Irina Lungu welcomes 2025, participating in a New Year’s concert starring the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino in Piazza Castello of the Piedmontese capital. She will sing alongside mezzo-soprano Laura Verrecchia, tenor Antonio Poli, baritone Ernesto Petti, and pop singer Malika Ayane. Irina Lungu will sing “Casta diva” from Norma (an opera she is scheduled to debut on January 19 at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania), and “L’amo come il fulgor del creato”, a duet from La Gioconda, together with Ms. Verrecchia.
