December 06, 2017
On December 6, 2017, Maria Mudryak will debut in the role of Gilda in Rigoletto at the Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa, in a production by legendary baritone Rolando Panerai under the musical direction of Maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa. She will perform alongside another historical baritone, Leo Nucci in the title role, Antonio Gandía as the Duca, Dario Russo as Sparafucile and Anastasia Boldyreva as Maddalena. The Kazakh born, Italian naturalised soprano will sing two additional performances on December 10 and 12, 2017.
The Teatro Carlo Felice is by now a second home for the young but already established soprano, having performed there in two important roles such as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro and particularly Violetta in La traviata, a part which has fast become her signature role.
After this Genoa Rigoletto, Maria Mudryak reprises Gilda – once again next to Leo Nucci’s Rigoletto – at the Teatro Regio Parma and at the Teatro Massimo Palermo, Violetta for a new production of La traviata at the Teatro San Carlo Naples, and Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at the Teatro Massimo Palermo.
