Pietari Inkinen returns to Japan this summer to make his debut with the Kioi Hall Chamber Orchestra Tokyo, leading the orchestra’s 146th Subscription Concerts in Tokyo and Nagoya.
Widely admired in Japan, Inkinen makes his Kioi Hall Chamber Orchestra debut with a program built around two composers at the heart of his repertoire, Sibelius and Mahler. The concerts open with Sibelius’s Karelia Overture and his monumental Seventh Symphony, both receiving their first performances by the orchestra, before concluding with Mahler’s Fourth Symphony featuring soprano Mandy Fredrich.
The performances take place on 1 August 2026 at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall and 2 August 2026 at Shirakawa Hall in Nagoya.
