On May 13 and 15, 2025, Gabriela Scherer will perform the role of Senta in two concert versions of Der fliegende Holländer, taking place at the Philharmonie Luxembourg and BOZAR Brussels, respectively. Tarmo Peltokoski will conduct the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. She will share the stage with Brian Mulligan in the title role, Albert Dohmen as Daland, Tuomas Katajala as Erik, Catriona Morison as Mary, and David Fischer as the Steersman.
The Zurich-born soprano is quickly establishing herself as one of the most sought-after interpreters of Senta on the international opera scene. In recent months, she has brought her compelling portrayal of the doomed Wagner heroine to audiences at both the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
