On June 12, 2026, Sonya Yoncheva joins the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal for a Baroque gala at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, marking the ensemble’s debut in the hall’s Grand Auditorium. The program is devoted to works by George Frideric Handel, including arias from Xerxes, Giulio Cesare, Alcina, Theodora, and Rinaldo.

Earlier in her career, Sonya Yoncheva was a member of Le Jardin des Voix, the young artists academy founded by William Christie, where she specialized extensively in Baroque repertoire before expanding into the major lyric and dramatic roles for which she is internationally acclaimed today.
