On June 12 and 14, 2026, Pietari Inkinen conducts the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie in concerts at the Opernfestspiele Heidenheim and the RheinVokal festival in Koblenz. The program brings together two composers closely associated with the Finnish conductor, Jean Sibelius and Gustav Mahler. It includes Sibelius’ Pohjola’s Daughter and a selection of orchestral songs, culminating in Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, featuring soprano Tuuli Takala
Internationally acclaimed for his interpretations of Sibelius, Pietari Inkinen recorded his complete symphony cycle with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. From 2017 to 2025, he served as Chief Conductor of the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie.
