ANNALISA STROPPA AS SUZUKI IN MADAMA BUTTERFLY AT BAVARIAN STATE OPERA

On April 5, 2019 Annalisa Stroppa will return to the Bavarian State Opera as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly, conducted by Daniele Callegari in the Wolf Busse staging. Joining her onstage will be Ermonela Jaho in the title role and Riccardo Massi as B.F. Pinkerton, among others. There will be two further performances, on April 7 and 12, 2019. Antonino Fogliani will conduct the performance on April 12.

 

Annalisa Stroppa was most recently heard as Suzuki in the 2016/17 season inauguration premiere at the Teatro alla Scala under the musical direction of Riccardo Chailly. She also sang Suzuki in 2015 at the Paris Opera, in a production by Robert Wilson with Daniele Rustioni conducting.

 

Future engagements for Ms. Stroppa include Dorabella in Cosí fan tutte at the Ópera de las Palmas,  Zerlina in Don Giovanni at the Chorégies d’Orange Festival, Fenena in Nabucco at the Teatro Verdi in Parma, and the title role in La Cenerentola at the Hamburg State Opera.
