On August 2, 2026, Étienne Dupuis returns to one of Verdi’s most compelling protagonists, singing the title role in a concert performance of Macbeth at the Festival de Lanaudière, the closing event of this year’s festival.
Led by Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Orchestre Métropolitain, the performance brings together an outstanding cast featuring Saioa Hernández as Lady Macbeth, Alexandros Stavrakakis as Banquo, and Matthew Cairns as Macduff.
Dupuis made his acclaimed role debut as Macbeth with the Washington National Opera in 2024, earning rave reviews for his portrayal. He reprises the role this September and October at the Wiener Staatsoper.
He concludes a triumphant 2025/26 season on August 15 by returning to another of his most celebrated roles, Marcello in La bohème, at the Copenhagen Opera Festival. Staged by Natascha Metherell and conducted by Tobias Ringborg, the performance also stars Freddie De Tommaso as Rodolfo, Nicole Car as Mimì, Alexandra Oomens as Musetta, Asmus Hanke as Schaunard, Nicolai Elsberg as Colline, and Morten Staugaard as Alcindoro.
