From Wagner’s Ring to Sibelius’ Violin Concerto: Pietari Inkinen brings his core repertoire back home to Finland in two contrasting orchestral programs.

On May 8, 2026, he conducts the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra in a program titled Spell of the Ring, featuring highlights from Richard Wagner’s Ring cycle in the orchestral arrangement by Lorin Maazel.

The program also includes Ernest Chausson’s Poème for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 25, and Maurice Ravel’s Tzigane, performed by violinist Ava Bahari.

Pietari Inkinen returns to Finland on May 13 to conduct the Oulu Symphony Orchestra. The program features Jean Sibelius’s Violin Concerto, performed by Sueye Park, winner of the 2025 International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition. The concert concludes with Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, From the New World.
