On January 22, 2021, Anna Pirozzi will make her much awaited Vienna State Opera debut as Abigaille in Nabucco, in a production by Günter Krämer and under the musical direction of Maestro Marco Armiliato. She will share the stage with Plácido Domingo in the title role, Riccardo Zanellato as Zaccaria, Freddie De Tommaso as Ismaele and Szilvia Vörös as Fenena.

Due to the current pandemic situation, the show will be performed without an audience, but will be live streamed on January 22 at 4:30 P.M. CET clicking here: https://play.wiener-staatsoper.at/, and broadcast on ORF III on January 24 at 8:15 P.M. CET.

Abigaille is Anna Pirozzi’s most sung role; she will soon reach her 100th performance of the fiery Babylonian warrior princess, having presented it to unanimous rave reviews in the most prestigious international opera houses and festival, including the Teatro alla Scala Milan, Salzburg Festival, Bayerische Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées Paris, Teatro San Carlo Naples, Arena of Verona, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía Valencia, NCPA Beijing, New Israeli Opera Tel Aviv, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Comunale Bologna, Teatro Regio Parma, Teatro Lirico Cagliari, Leipzig Opera, Opéra de Lyons, Stuttgart Opera, Las Palmas Opera, Menorca Opera and Sanxay Festival.
