On June 28, 2020, Annalisa Stroppa will be the alto soloist in Gaetano Donizetti’s “Messa da Requiem” in front of the Monumental Cemetery of Bergamo, an event telecast live at 20:30h local time by RAI1 and RAIPlay commemorating the victims of the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic.

The other soloists include Eleonora Buratto, Piero Pretti, Alex Esposito and Federico Benetti, while Riccardo Frizza will lead the Orchestra and Choir of the Donizetti Opera.

The concert will take place in the presence of the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and the mayors of the Province of Bergamo.

Prior to the concert the artistic director of Donizetti Opera Francesco Micheli will read “Addio ai monti”  from “I promessi sposi” by Alessandro Manzoni.
