This December Erika Grimaldi embarks on a tour of four Spanish towns singing the soprano soloist part in Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor, op. 125: Auditorio de la Diputación Alicante (Dec. 10), Auditorio Nacional de Música Madrid (Dec. 11) Auditorio – Palacio de Congresos de Zaragoza (Dec. 12), and Palau de la Música in Barcelona (Dec. 13). Josep Vincent will conduct the Adda- Simfònica Alicante and the Orfeón Donostiarra, and the other soloists will be mezzo-soprano Teresa Iervolino, tenor Airam Hernández and baritone José Antonio López. Also on the program Xavier Monsalvatge’s Cant Espiritual Earlier in 2024, the Asti-born soprano returns to Spain for her role debut as Tosca at the Ópera de las Palmas in February, while one month later she will take in Mozart’s Requiem at the Auditorio Manuel de Falla in Granada.
