Erika Grimaldi returns to her artistic home, the Teatro Regio di Torino as Mimì in La bohème, in a production by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi and under the musical direction of Andrea Battistoni. She will share the stage with Liparit Avetisyan as Rodolfo, Federica Guida as Musetta, Andrey Zhilikhovsky as Marcello, Manel Esteve as Schunard, and Riccardo Fassi as Colline. The four performances will take place on October 21, 25, 27, and 29.

The Asti-born soprano has performed numerous roles at the Teatro Regio, including Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Amelia in Simon Boccanegra, Amilla in La donna serpente, Mathilde in Guillaume Tell, Desdemona in Otello, la Contessa ne Le nozze di Figaro, and just this past season, Aida. Regarding Mimì, she has already sung it in Turin in five previous outings in different productions, She has brought her celebrated portrayal of the consumptive seamstress to the San Francisco Opera, Montpellier, Bari, Oviedo, Savonlinna Festival, and Hong-Kong, to name but a few.
