One of the leading Italian spinto sopranos of her generation, Erika Grimaldi has emerged as a particularly acclaimed interpreter of Puccini heroines in recent seasons. Her portrayal of Tosca has already earned praise at the Festival Puccini, Óand the Teatro Regio di Parma, following the role debutat the Ópera de Las Palmas, that marked a major turning point in her artistic evolution toward the dramatic Italian repertoire.
