On September 28, 2021 Etienne Dupuis will sing the role of Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Vienna State Opera, in a production by Herbert Fritsch and under the musical direction of  Maestro Michele Mariotti, the first of a series of six performances running through October 14, 2021. He will sing alongside Vasilisa Berzhanskaya as Rosina, Juan Diego Flórez as Conte Almavina, Paolo Bordogna as Don Bartolo and Ildar Abdrazakov as Don Basilio. The Quebecois baritone made his Vienna State Opera debut as Valentin in Faust in April 2021 and will return in the same role later this season. He has already starred in the title role of Il barbiere di Siviglia in several major opera houses, including the Bavarian State Opera Munich, Opéra de Montréal and Deutsche Oper Berlin.
