ETIENNE DUPUIS | DON QUICHOTTE | PARIS

New role for Etienne Dupuis, who, on May 10, 2024, adds the part of Sancho Pança in Massenet’s Don Quichotte to his repertoire in a new production by Damiano Michieletto and under the musical direction of Patrick Fournillier. He will share the stage with Christian Van Horn alternating with Gàbor Bretz in the title role, Gaëlle Arquez as Dulcinée, Emy Gazeilles as Pedro, Marine Chagnon as Garcias, Samy Camps as Rodriguez, and Nicholas Jones as Juan. There will be ten additional performances through June 11, 2024.

The Quebecois baritone is a favorite of the Opéra de Paris audience and at his 10th role for the theatre: after his 2009 debut as Silvano in Un ballo in maschera, he has bowed as Orestes in Iphigénie en Tauride, Pelléas in Pelléas et Melisande, Don Giovanni (title role), Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, Rodrigo in Don Carlo, Escamillo in Carmen, Conte di Luna in Il trovatore, and Paolo Albiani in Simon Boccanegra.
