On February 25 and 26, 2023, Frédéric Chaslin will conduct two concerts at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice in a program including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Overture to Die Zauberflöte and Concerto for piano and orchestra in d minor K66 as well as Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem op. 48. Soprano Hilary Cronin, baritone Armando Naguera and pianist Davide Ranaldi also star.

The French conductor/composer/pianist/author, who calls the Teatro La Fenice one of his favorite opera houses in the world and where he has recently garnered highly positive reviews conducting Faust, is in the midst of a much anticipated new production of Les contes d’Hoffmann at the Teatro alla Scala. After this, his next Italian engagement is an all-Mahler concert at the Teatro Comunale Bologna in June.
