On June 15, 2021, George Gagnidze will sing the title role in Macbeth at the Ópera de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in a production by Alfonso Romero under the musical direction of Maestro Francesco Ivan Ciampa, the first of a series of three performances running through June 19, 2021. He will share the stage with Anna Pirozzi as Lady Macbeth, Marko Mimica as Banquo and Fabián Lara as Macduff.  The Georgian baritone has already performed the role of the tragic Scottish king at the Metropolitan Opera New York and the Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa.
