On November 21, 2021, George Gagnidze will sing the title role in a one-off concert performance of Nabucco at the Hamburg State Opera conducted by Maestro Paolo Arrivabeni. He will share the stage with Oksana Dyka as Abigaille, Alexander Vinogradov as Zaccaria, Piotr Buszewski as Ismaele and Aigul Akhmetshina as Fenena. The Georgian baritone, who has previously appeared at the Hamburg State Opera in such diverse roles as Iago in Otello, Alfio in Cavalleria rusticana, Tonio in Pagliacci and the title role in Simon Boccanegra, has already sung Nabucco in several international opera houses and festivals, including the Vienna State Opera, the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Arena of Verona.
