On September 28, 2020, Irina Lungu will sing the role of Elvira in I puritani at the Ópera de Oviedo, in a production by Emilio Sagi and under the musical direction of Iván López-Reynoso, the first of a series of five performances running through October 10, 2020. She will share the stage with John Osborn as Lord Arturo Talbo, Dalibor Jenis as Sir Riccardo Forth and Luca Tittoto as Sir Giorgio.

The Russian soprano, who is gracing the stage of Oviedo Opera for the first time, made her debut as Elvira in the 2016/2017 season in a co-production of the opera companies of Modena, Piacenza and Reggio Emilia, and will sing it again later this season in Zurich.
