On April 9, 2022, Jacquelyn Wagner will sing the role of Elsa in Lohengrin at the Osterfestspiele Salzburg, in a new production by Jossi Wieler, Anna Viebrock and Sergio Morabito and under the musical direction of Maestro Christian Thielemann. She will share the stage with Eric Cutler in the title role, Elena Pankratova as Ortrud, Martin Gantner as Friedrich von Telramund and Hans-Peter König as Heinrich Der Vogler. There will be an additional performance on April 18, 2022.

The Michigan born soprano made her role debut as Elsa in the 2019/2020 season at the Landestheater Felsenreitschule Salzburg. She returns to the Osterfestspiele after her 2019 star turn as Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, which was also led by Maestro Thielemann.
