JACQUELYN WAGNER IN FALSTAFF AT MALMÖ OPERA

On November 7, 2020, Jacquelyn Wagner will sing the role of Alice Ford in Falstaff at the Malmö Opera, in a new production by Lotte de Beer and under the musical direction of Maestros Steven Sloane and David Niemann, the first of a series of seven performances running through December 6, 2020. She will share the stage with Misha Kiria in the title role, Orhan Yildiz as Ford, Alexandra Flood and Sabina Bisholt as Nannetta, Sehoon Moon as Fenton and Maria Streijffert as Mrs Quickly.

Every single performance will be streamed live at www.malmoopera.se/falstaff-streaming.

This production marks the Swedish debut for the American soprano, who added the role of the “merry wife of Windsor” to her wide repertoire at the Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp in the 2017/2018 season.

Jacquelyn Wagner’s upcoming engagements include Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at the Tokyo Symphony Hall, Agathe in Der Freischütz with the National Symphony Orchestra Taiwan and in a new production at the Hamburg State Opera, Mahler’s Eighth Symphony at the Mahler Festival at Gewandhaus Leipzig with the Gewandhausorchester, and Contessa d’Almaviva in a new staging of Le nozze di Figaro at the Aix-en-Provence Festival.
