Jacquelyn Wagner | Salome | Innsbruck

Jacquelyn Wagner will add an emblematic Strauss title role to her repertoire. On February 12, 2022, the soprano will make her role debut as Salome in the premiere of Angela Denoke’s new production at the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck conducted by Lukas Beikircher. Jacquelyn Wagner will sing a total of seven performances, with the last one taking place on May 7. The other main roles will be sung by Florian Stern (Herodes), Susanna von der Burg / Ursula Hesse von den Steinen (Herodias), Jochen Kupfer (Jochanaan), Jon Jurgens (Narraboth) and Zsófia Mózer (Page).

This will be Jacquelyn Wagner’s third big Strauss role, following her acclaimed portrayals of Feldmaschallin in Der Rosenkavalier and the title role of Arabella.

After this Salome, she will star as Elsa in a new staging of Lohengrin at the Osterfestspiele Salzburg conducted by Christian Thielemann and in the title role of Fidelio at the Staatsoper Hamburg led by Kent Nagano.
