JACQUELYN WAGNER TO MAKE HER DEBUT AT THE AIX-EN-PROVENCE FESTIVAL AS CONTESSA D’ALMAVIVA IN LE NOZZE DI FIGARO

On June 30, 2021, Jacquelyn Wagner will make her debut at the Aix-en-Provence Festival singing the role of Contessa d’Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, in a new production by Lotte de Beer and under the musical direction of Maestro Thomas Hengelbrock, the first of a series of eight performances running through July 16, 2021. She will share the stage with Andrè Schuen as Figaro, Julie Fuchs as Susanna, Gyula Orendt as Conte d’Almaviva, Lea Desandre as Cherubino, Monica Bacelli as Marcellina and Maurizio Muraro as Dottor Bartolo.

The Michigan-born soprano has already sung the role of the Contessa at the Hamburg State Opera and Frankfurt Opera.
