On May 7, 2023, Katrin Wundsam will sing the alto soloist part in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem with the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra led by Adam Fischer. She will sing alongside soprano Hannah Morrison, tenor Gyula Rab and bass Miklos Sebestyen. Each year Maestro Fischer honors and person or an organization particularly committed to human rights with the Tonhall Human Rights Award, and this year the award ceremony has Mozart’s final masterpiece as its centerpiece.
Katrin Wundsam, who recently scored rave reviews for singing both the roles of Ježibaba and the Foreign Princess in Rusalka at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, will next travel to the Theater an der Wien for another double assignment, the Garderobiere / Gymnasiast in Lulu.
