This evening, Magdalena Anna Hofmann stars as the protagonist of Tristan und Isolde at the Staatstheater Darmstadt in a new production by Eva-Maria Höckmayr under the musical direction of Daniel Cohen, sharing the stage with Andreas Hermann as Tristan, Katrin Gerstenberger as Brangäne, Julian Orlishausen as Kurwenal, Johannes Seokhoon Moon as König Marke, Matthew Vickers as Melot, Ricardo Garcia as a Young Sailor, Marco Mondragón as a Shepherd, and Jared Ice as a Steerman. Additional performances are on February 16 and 23, March 16 and 23, April 18, and May 4
The doomed Irish queen has brought the Warsaw-born soprano accolades. She has performed in several prestigious venues, such as the May Festival at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and the Staatsoper Hannover.
