MARIA JOSE SIRI AS AMELIA IN UN BALLO IN MASCHERA IN WIESBADEN

On May 16, 2019 Maria José Siri will make her house debut at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, singing Amelia in a special one-off gala performance of Un ballo in maschera as part of theater’s International May Festival. The performance will be conducted by Christoph Stiller, and will feature staging by Beka Savić. Joining Ms. Siri on stage will be Stefano La Colla, Vladislav Sulimsky, Monika Bohinec, and Shira Patchornik among others.

As Amelia, Ms. Siri has most recently been heard at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. Other engagements as Amelia include productions at La Monnaie in Brussels and at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, where she made her debut in the role during the 2014/2015 season.

Following this performance, Ms. Siri will sing the title role in Tosca at the Teatro Municipale Giuseppe Verdi in Salerno, after which she will sing the title role in Manon Lescaut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, conducted by Sir Simon Rattle. Further upcoming engagements include singing in several important Verdi works: the title role in Aida at the Arena di Verona, the Verdi Requiem at the Bregenz Festival, and a new production of La forza del destino (Leonora) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in September 2019.
