On October 22, 2022, Mark S. Doss will sing the bass soloist part in Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 Ode to Joy with the Erie Philharmonic conducted by Daniel Meyer. He will share the stage with soprano Amy Shoremount-Obra, alto Joan Peitscher and tenor Wesley Lawrence.

The Cleveland born bass-baritone has performed Beethoven’s masterpiece to high acclaim numerous times, including with the Houston Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra and the Princeton University Orchestra (CD released by the Naxos label).

Following the concert in Erie, he will sing William Daley in The Time of Our Singing in St Gallen and Alexandr Petrovič Gorjančikov in From the House of the Dead at the Rome Opera House.
