MICHAEL VOLLE | CONCERT | DUISBURGER PHILHARMONIKER

On May 15 and 16, 2024, Michael Volle will participate in a concert focusing on Nobel prize winner, Indian literate Rabindranath Tagore’s poetic works, which were extremely popular in the early years of the Weimar Republic. Alexander Zemlinsky explored the poems of Rabindranath Tagore in his “Lyrischen Sinfonie in sieben Gesängen op. 18”, where a dialog between a soprano and a baritone emerges, depicting a passionate love story full of longing. In the 10th Philharmonic Concert, Camilla Nylund and Michael Volle will bring to life the interplay between two lovers, their dreams, and unfulfilled longings. Axel Kober will lead the Duisburger Philharmoniker.
