NICOLE CAR AS FIORDILIGI IN COSì FAN TUTTE AT THE MET

On February 15, 2020, Nicole Car will sing the role of Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte at the Metropolitan Opera New York, in a production by Phelim McDermott under the musical direction of Maestro Harry Bicket, the first of a series of eight performances running through March 14, 2020. She will share the stage with Serena Malfi as Dorabella, Ben Bliss as Ferrando, Luca Pisaroni as Guglielmo, Heidi Stober as Despina and Gerald Finley as Don Alfonso.

Nicole Car made her highly acclaimed Metropolitan Opera debut as Mimì in La bohème in the 2018/2019 season. The Australian soprano first added the role of Fiordiligi to her repertoire in 2016 at the Sydney Opera House for Opera Australia, subsequently reprising it at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and Semperoper Dresden.

Upcoming engagements for Nicole Car include the title role in Thaïs at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Mimì in La bohème at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, London, and Tatyana in Eugene Onegin at the Sydney Opera House for Opera Australia.
