PIETARI INKINEN | CONCERTS | DRP

On February 10, 2023, Pietari Inkinen will conduct a concert entitled “Sensibile” with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, of which he has been chief conductor since the 2016/17 season, at the Fruchthalle Kaiserslautern, featuring Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, Op. in e minor, Op. 64, and Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in c minor, Op. 18, where he joins forces with virtuoso pianist Anna Vinnitskaya. The same program will be repeated the following evening at the Konzerthaus Karlsruhe.

Pietari Inkinen’s strong affinity with the Russian repertoire is widely demonstrated in his latest recording devoted to Shostakovich, where – as Remy Franck in Pizzicato writes – “The most striking feature of these interpretations is probably the orchestral refinement. Pietari Inkinen has rehearsed the works very carefully and achieves an extremely high musical level with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie.”
