Riccardo Massi to make his Hong Kong Opera debut in Aida

On October 10, 2017, Riccardo Massi will make his Hong Kong Opera debut as Radamès in Aida in a production by Jean-Louis Grinda conducted by Maestro Xu Zhong. This is the first of a series of three performances running through October 14, 2017. He will share the stage with Hui He and Marjorie Owens alternating in the title role, Violeta Urmana as Amneris, Reginald Smith Jr. and Sun Li as Amonasro, and Has Jiang Tian as Ramfis.

Radamès is one of Riccardo Massi’s most important roles. He made his professional operatic debut as Radamès in Salerno in 2009, reprised the part for his debut at the Metropolitan Opera in 2012 and has also sung it at the Houston Grand Opera, the Detroit Opera House and the Teatro Regio of Turin. Earlier this year he returned to the MET in the same role that will lead him in a new production to the Sydney Opera House and to the Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires in 2018.
