Robin Johannsen to make her debut as Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte

On February 26, 2017 Robin Johannsen will make her debut in the role of Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte with the Freiburger Barockorchester under the musical direction of René Jacobs. The concert performance at the Konzerthaus Freiburg marks the first date of a worldwide tour of Mozart’s opera which will also lead to Cologne, Barcelona, Seoul and Shanghai.

This is the second Mozart role that Robin Johannsen is singing with Maestro Jacobs, following her highly acclaimed portrayal of Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, released by Harmonia Mundi and which earned her the prestigious Edison Classical Music Award.

Other engagements of the 2016/17 season include Rameau arias on tour with Teodor Currentzis, a new production of Purcell’s King Arthur at the Berliner Staatsoper, her debut in France with Telemann’s Brockes Passion conducted by Raphaël Pichon at the Paris Philharmonie and five other French cities as well as concerts with leading Baroque orchestras such as Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and Concerto Köln.
