On October 3 and 5, 2018 Saimir Pirgu will sing the role of the Duca di Mantova in concert performances of Rigoletto under the musical direction of Maestro Gustavo Gimeno leading the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance on October 3 will take place at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the one on October 5 at the Philharmonie of Luxembourg. He will perform alongside Sir Simon Keenlyside in the title role, Ekaterina Siurina as Gilda and Stanislav Trofimov as Sparafucile.

Duca di Mantova is one of Saimir Pirgu’s most performed roles that he has sung to rave reviews in some of the most prestigious opera companies such as the Royal Opera House London, Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State Opera Munich, Arena of Verona, Teatro San Carlo Naples and the Dutch National Opera Amsterdam.
