On December 10, 2023, Sonya Yoncheva will star in Noël à Versailles, a Christmas Concert in the Royal Chapel of the Palace of Versailles, with Stefan Plewniak leading Chœur de l’Opéra Royal and Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal.

The concert includes music by Handel, Gounod, Corelli, Puccini, Mascagni, Adam, Mohr, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Irving Berlin. On the occasion, Sonya will sing for the first time in public with her son Mateo, namely in “Pie Jesu” from Lloyd Webber’s Requiem.

The Bulgarian soprano last appeared in Versailles, in the famed Hall of Mirrors, in a highly successful concert entirely devoted to Händel in November 2022.

The concert will be televised.
