On August 14, 2020, Sonya Yoncheva will return to the Salzburg Festival in a Renaissance concert at the Haus für Mozart. She will be accompanied by the Cappella Mediterranea under the baton of Maestro Leonardo García Alarcón, performing music by Stradella, Monteverdi, Cavalli, Caldara, Gibbons, Ruiz de Ribayaz, Marín, Purcell, Dowland and Díaz.

The Bulgarian soprano made her highly awaited Salzburg Festival debut in 2017 in a concert featuring music by Handel, Rameau and Purcell, returning the following year for her operatic debut as the titular heroine of L’incoronazione di Poppea to unanimous rave reviews.
