On June 13 and 14, 2019 Sonya Yoncheva will appear in the Midsummer Night’s Gala at the Grafenegg Festival in Austria, performing with the Tonkünstler Orchestra conducted by Yutaka Sado. Ms. Yoncheva will sing “L’amour est un oiseau rebelle” from Carmen, “O mio babbino caro” from Gianni Schicchi and “Il est doux, il est bon” from Hérodiade. The concert will also feature baritone soloist Ludovic Tézier and violinist Emmanuel Tjeknavorian. It will be video streamed live by myfidelio on June 14, 2019 at 20:30h, telecast by ORF 2 on June 14 at 21:00h, on ORF III on August 16 at 21:50h and on 3sat on August 17 at 21:45h.
Ms. Yoncheva performs regularly in concert on the most prestigious stages. Earlier this season she was heard in gala concerts at the Paris Opera, and appeared as a concert soloist at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Hungarian State Opera, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Mannheim Rosengarten, the Teatro del Lago Frutillar in Chile, the Teatro del Bicentenario in Mexico, and the Santa Monica Broad Stage.
Following her performances in the Midsummer Night’s Gala, Ms. Yocheva’s future concert engagements include gala concerts at the Opéra Liege and the Teatro alla Scala.
