On July 22, 2022, Sonya Yoncheva will sing the title role in Norma at the Gran Teatre del Liceu of Barcelona, in a production by Àlex Ollé and under the musical direction of Domingo Hindoyan, the first of a series of four performances running through July 31, 2022. She will share the stage with Airam Hernández as Pollione, Teresa Iervolino as Adalgisa and Marko Mimica as Oroveso.

Sonya Yoncheva, who made her Liceu debut this past April with an operatic concert, already sang the role of the Druidic priestess when this same Àlex Ollé production was first unveiled at the Royal Opera House in London in 2016, making her celebrated role debut.

Following the shows in Barcelona, will reprise the role of Norma in 2023 at the Metropolitan Opera.
