On May 20, 2024, at the Großes Festspielhaus in Salzburg, Sonya Yoncheva will participate in a star-studded concert celebrating the 50 years of Plácido Domingo in Salzburg. In addition to the Bulgarian superstar soprano, Aida Garifullina, Elena Stikhina, René Barbera, Bekhzod Davronov, Dmitry Korchak, Rolando Villazón and Erwin Schrott, together with Plácido Domingo himself, will perform arias and duets by Rossini, Bizet, Massenet, Verdi as well as some famous zarzuela arias. Marco Armiliato will lead the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, while Rolando Villazón will also be the master of ceremonies.

Winner of the First and CulturArte Prizes in Operalia 2010, Sonya Yoncheva has often performed with Plàcido Domingo in concerts and complete operas, such as Luisa Miller.
