On December 31, 2022, Vincenzo Milletarì will conduct the Royal Swedish Orchestra in the New Year’s Eve Gala Orchestra at the Royal Swedish Opera, where the latter’s soloists join forces with graduate students from the opera department at the Stockholm Academy of the Arts.

The festive program has a French theme, beginning with Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique and concluding with excerpts from Bizet’s Carmen, Delibes’s Lakmé and Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann.

The Italian born conductor is a well-known name to the Stockholm audience, having already conducted there La traviata, Rigoletto and Ariadne auf Naxos.
