Vincenzo Milletarì returns to the ORT Orchestra della Toscana for two concerts on May 4 and 6 at the Teatro Verdi in Florence and at the Teatro Garibaldi in Figline, with a program including Filippo Del Corno’ s “A coda di rondine”, co-commissioned by ORT and Pomeriggi Musicali, Richard Strauss’s Overture and Dance Scena from Ariadne auf Naxos, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No.38, K504 “Prague” as well as Carl Maria von Weber Concerto No.1 for clarinet and Orchestra where he is joined by Alessandro Carbonare, first clarinet of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome.

The Taranto-born conductor made his ORT debut in the summer of 2021 in three concerts that took place in three historical Tuscan villas, leading a program consisting of Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s The Hebrides, op, 26, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Concerto No. 5 for violin and orchestra and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No.1 op.21.

On June 16, Vincenzo Milletarì will inaugurate the 2023 edition of the Kissinger Sommer Festival with a concert devoted to Italian opera and starring Carmela Remigio and Freddie De Tommaso.
