Sudden change of title for Vincenzo Milletarì at the Prague State Opera: This evening, October 26, 2023, instead of the scheduled Rigoletto, the Italian maestro will conduct another one of Giuseppe Verdi’s so called “popular trilogy”, La traviata in a production by Arnaud Bernard. The cast includes Lucie Kaňková as Violetta, Kyungho Kim as Alfredo, and Daniel Luis de Vicente as Giorgio Germont. There will be four additional performances on November 4, 9, 15, and December 15, 2023.

Vincenzo Milletarì is not new to La traviata, having conducted it to rave reviews at the Royal Swedish Opera. As for the third title of the trilogy, he led highly acclaimed performances of Il trovatore at the prestigious Macerata Opera Festival.
