PIETARI INKINEN | CONCERTS | SPAIN

On February 23 and 24, 2023, Pietari Inkinen will conduct two concerts with the Orquesta Sinfónica y Coro de RTVE at the Teatro Monumental Madrid. The program includes a selection of Gustav Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn, where he joins forces with baritone, Michael Nagy, Richard Strauss’ Wanderers Sturmlied, Op. 14,  and Don Juan, Op. 20.

On March 2, the Finnish conductor travels to the Teatro Principal in Valencia leading the Orquesta de València in a program including Jean Sibelius’s symphonic poem Finlandia, op. 26, and Symphony no. 5 in E flat major, op. 82, and Johannes Brahms’s Sonata for Clarinet in f minor, also featuring clarinetist Andreas Ottensamer op. 120.

Pietari Inkinen’s previous Spanish appearances date back to the 2016/2017 season when he led the Prague Symphony Orchestra in Castellon, Zaragoza, and Pamplona.
