On April 12, 13, 14 and 19, Pietari Inkinen will conduct the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie at the Congresshalle Saarbrücken, the Konzerthaus Karlsruhe, Forum am Schlosspark Ludwigsburg and the Fruchthalle Kaiserslautern, respectively.
The program is entitled “Im Namen der Freiheit” (“In the Name of Freedom”) and includes Modest Mussorgsky’s “Dawn on the Moskva river” from “Khovanshchina”, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A major, op. 92, as well as Dmitri Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1 n E-flat major, Op. 107 with superstar cellist Mischa Maisky.
On April 19, 2024, Pietari Inkinen reprises the “In the Name of Freedom” program at the Fruchthalle Kaiserslautern, with just one modification: Alexander von Zemlinsky’s Waltz Interlude from the opera “Kleider machen Leute” will replace Modest Mussorgsky’s “Dawn on the Moskva river” from “Khovanshchina”.
