Pietari Inkinen returns to Australia on August 2 and 3, 2024, where, at the Sydney Opera House, he will lead the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in a program featuring Liza Lim’s Salutations to the Shells, Sergey Prokofiev’s Sinfonia Concertante, joining forces with virtuoso cellist Alban Gerhardt, and Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4.

A fervent admirer of Tchaikovsky’s music, the Finnish conductor has just released a recording of the Russian composer’s Symphony No. 5 with the KBS Symphony Orchestra for the label Warner Korea.
