On January 17 and 18, 2025, at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall, Pietari Inkinen will lead the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in a concert entitled “Wagner: Scenes from the Ring” including music from Siegfried and Götterdämmerung, starring soprano Ricarda Merbeth and tenor Stefan Vinke.

The Finnish conductor has a particular affinity for Richard Wagner’s music. In 2023, he led the whole Ring at the Bayreuth Festival to rave reviews. Earlier in his career, he conducted the tetralogy Opera Australia in Melbourne, for which he received the Helpmann Award in 2014 and the Green Room Award for Best Opera Conductor in 2016.
