JACQUELYN WAGNER IN BEETHOVEN’S 9TH SYMPHONY IN TOKYO

On December 28 and 29, Jacquelyn Wagner will sing the soprano solo part of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Choir led by Jonathan Nott at the Suntory Hall in Tokyo alongside mezzo-soprano Ikuko Nakajima, tenor Hiroaki Fueda and bass baritone Liang Li. The December 28 concert will be video streamed live at 10:30am Central European Time.

Jacquelyn Wagner kicked off the Beethoven Year 2020 singing the composer’s “Ah perfido” and “Chorfantasie” with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra in January. After these concerts in Tokyo, her performances of the 2020/21 season include Agathe in Der Freischütz in Taiwan and at the Staatsoper Hamburg, Mahler’s 8th Symphony with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and Contessa in a new production of Le nozze di Figaro at the Aix-en-Provence Festival.
