On November 12, 2019, Riccardo Massi will take part in the Digital Operatic Gala at the Mikhalovsky Theatre St. Petersburg, the only tenor in a stellar cast including Albina Shagimuratova, Valentina Nafornita, Tatiana Melnychenko, Olesya Petrova, Alexander Markeev, and Boris Pinkhasovich, under the musical direction of Maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius.
The International Digital OPERA 2.0, which features music by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky, Franz Lehár, Jacques Offenbach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Dmitry Schostakovich, Modest Mussorgsky and Georges Bizet aims to show how the space of the traditional genre can overlap and interact with the world of digital technologies.
Riccardo Massi will return to the Mikhlailovsky Theatre later this month as Radamès in Aida. Other upcoming engagements for the Italian tenor include Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Semperoper Dresden, Manrico in Il trovatore and Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Bavarian State Opera Munich, his role debut as Zamoro in Alzira at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, Liège, and his Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa debut as Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut.
